Paloma Rose, Jazz Bassist
Paloma Rose is a jazz vocalist and bassist influenced by the mysticism and color of the American Southwest. She paints her music with Indigenous, Spanish, and Anglo roots. Drawing musical inspiration from the storytelling of the Indigenous Americas, soulfulness of jazz, and the movement of Latin culture. Rose views music as an act of community building. Music unites people. Music heals each other. Her sound is best described as taking inspiration from Nina Simone's soulful voice and Christian McBride's rich and bluesy bass tone.
